Making things, using technology
I am currently working on a diverse set of projects, and am responsible for designing, implementing and managing technical solutions for departments within the AUMC. This includes implementing software solutions for image processing, creating the possibility to process large amounts of research data, directing the implementation of medical/healthcare systems. Having a Linux oriented background, I work in both Linux and Windows environments. I am part of a big team of engineers, analists, solution architects and other specialists.
Mainly responsible for designing, implementing and managing technical solutions for customers. In short; the inventory of customer requirements and translate these into a technical solution. The team is self-managing and has recently started working according SCRUM
Maintaining lifecycles of applications in a Linux environment - Change management - migrating VM's to Docker containers and creating pipelines the DevOps way
Responisble for the lifecycle management of applications - Deploying DTAP environments - Change management
IT-support - Monitoring and maintaining computer systems (remotely)
Apart from being a computer engineer, I spend most of my time doing sports. In winter I sculpture in stone, hack, boulder indoors, and build things. In summer I bike, hike and look for adventure.
Hackerspaces have had a lot of influence on my view on what "good software" actually is. I try to support the opensource movement.
